Our core domain: new digital technologies, in particular concerning displays and their various exciting new applications.
The Issues at Stake
The onset of a number of new technologies in this rapidly growing field is creating a triple-sided problem:
- On the one hand, all those involved in the sale and distribution of TV’s, monitors, projectors and other visual displays need a reliable, unbiased source of information about market trends, products, applications and technologies.
- Buyers equally need a way to get the “big picture” a simplified but nonetheless complete and rounded vision of how to choose. They need a clear explanation of the main elements to take into account when choosing, and how price and technology trends are evolving, in order to make a wise… or “clever” choice.
- Facing these two groups the vendors and the buyers information sources exist. But the bulk of the information may be biased, incorrect, incomplete or even sometimes too voluminous to digest. Bombarded from all sides by messages that one or another technology is “the best” people lose confidence in the information itself and even in the possibilities offered by the technologies.
|
|
The Cleverdis Promise
We undertake to redress these issues through the provision of reader friendly publications and special reports, as well as dedicated consulting missions for manufacturers in order to simplify and clarify the vision of new technologies. We do not enter into product comparisons, but present the underlying values and uses, highlighting their “added values”. In educating and informing the market both upstream and downstream, we believe we can help “grow the pie” and instil true “information intelligence”.

The event of the year however is IFA Berlin 2008, which again will mobilise our entire team for the publication of IFA INTERNATIONAL the highly esteemed official English language daily of the show.
Shortly after this, the hotel market again snatches our attention again with HTNG’s European event and EquipHotel Paris 2008, as well as the MKG Hospitality Awards which are held in parallel, then the following month (December) EquipHotel AbuDhabi at the initiative of Reed Exhibitions, whom Cleverdis are backing 100%!
There are many events I haven’t cited... many of equal importance, and all can be found on our website in the section dedicated to their sector of activity (Hotels, OOH Digital Media, Consumer Electronics, BtoBtoC, etc.)
2008 will thus again be a year of relentless work for our teams, but one of ongoing pleasure in working on such exciting and dynamic markets!
We thank all buyers, decision-makers and influencers who have shown us their trust over so many years, as we have guided them in their choice of strategies and equipment, with Cleverdis now recognised as a veritable boon when seeking and analysing product and market information.
We thank all suppliers of solutions, content and equipment ... who are increasingly numerous in coming to trust Cleverdis over the long term, systematically including our publications, our web site and hub, as well as our SPECIALreports in their annual communication plans, allowing both their and our teams to work together towards ever more professional results.
This year again, we look forward to “growing the pie” ... for all of you!

Since its creation, Cleverdis has formed the habit of working on “all fronts” in the evolution and development of electronics markets, particularly in the Audio-Visual field. 2008 will not see a departure from this custom, and this year, more than ever, you will find Cleverdis’ analysts milling in areas where the industry’s most lucrative sectors are developing.
To cite just some of the most important, it is of course at the International CES trade show in Las Vegas that our year begins, where Cleverdis Editor in Chief, Richard Barnes, drawing on his background as a TV interviewer and host, will be back in Las Vegas as "the international face" on the CE Channel. Barnes will be interviewing analysts and key market players about the latest trends and products on a program airing around the clock during CES in over 72,000 Las Vegas hotel rooms.
In late January, you will find us at the unavoidable meeting place of Europe’s System Integrators at ISE Amsterdam. Then it’s over to London for Screen Expo, to get a closer look at the latest developments in the field of Out of Home Digital Media. Following this, it’s the hotel sector that seizes our attention with ETHEC in Amsterdam, and above all IHTF in Singapore that will allow us to be at the cutting edge when it comes to gathering information for the publication of our Hotel Technology SMARTreport due for publication at the beginning of April at IHTF Berlin.
