Vitrolles, France – January 28th, 2009 – Following on from recent public appearances as host of Equip’Hotel TV in Paris and an INTEHL Round Table in Lausanne, Cleverdis Editor-in-Chief Richard Barnes is set to give the closing presentation at the upcoming EHMA Annual General Meeting in Seville.
The EHMA (European Hotel Managers’ Association) is a non-profit-making association of professional hotel managers of top-quality establishments who are constantly seeking to improve their own qualifications and those of their staff in order to maintain or better the standards of comfort and service which they offer to their guests. Today the E.H.M.A. boasts about 450 members, all of whom are General Managers of the grandest and most prestigious hotels in 28 European countries. In short, this represents 350 hotels, 90,000 rooms and 70,000 employees, with an annual turnover of €6 billion.
This 36th AGM will take place at the Melià Sevilla Hotel, and will highlight key topics such as “Responsible Information Technology”, “What is New in e-marketing?”, and “What is next in digital marketing?”.
For its part, Cleverdis has, for the past four years, established itself as the reference in Europe in the field of hotel technologies, helping hotels leverage the right technologies in the right situations in order to both keep up with the times and increase efficiency.
“Today more than ever, top hotels need to differentiate and stand out in the field”, said Mr Barnes. “There are so many different kinds of technologies that are developing at the same time for hoteliers that it is virtually impossible for them to keep up with the pace, let alone predict future trends. We aim to leverage our knowledge base and give them the decision making tools they need in order to make the right decisions when in the current economic climate, this has become vital to survival.”
Mr Barnes will speak at 11:45 AM on Saturday 14th February 2009.
